A Southern Hemisphere origin for campanulid angiosperms, with traces of the break-up of Gondwana with Jeremy Beaulieu and Michael Donoghue was published this week in BMC Evolutionary Biology. This paper provides a great discussion on discovering the Gondwanan biogeographic history of plant lineages and introduces a new method for summarizing biogeographic reconstructions across a distribution of trees.
